Yep, I'm enrolled. I'm now an official UPian. Course: BA Communication, and my schedule is quite weird. MWF, from 8 am to 4 pm, and on Wednesday I get to go home at 11. TTh? Na, rest days for me. I thought the registrar would raise eyebrows at my sched and even scold me, but they just looked at it and signed without any further comment. And the tuition? An all-time low of Php3775.50. Whereas other friends of mine even had 6k tuition and even 10k.

My mother and father found a boarding house, just a five minute walk away from school. And another funny thing is, both UP and SM Baguio are walking distance from the house. Ah, heaven, I'm sure.

But to be able to transfer to UP Diliman, I will have to obtain grades no lower than 1.75, and complete all 33 units. All in all in first year I have 30 units, and my mom says I'd just have to summer the remaining three in Diliman. A lot of work to do. But I don't want to stay In BAguio...too far away, IMO.

The day of departure draws closer and closer, as my mom was kind enough to remind me. As much as possible I don't try to think about it, I know it will only make me sadder, but her unwanted reminder now makes me dread the day May dies and June comes. It was my choice to pursue the slot I've so hardly fought for, but now the idea of being far away for ten months is giving me goosebumps.

But a ray of light still passes through the clouds...many of us are from Manila, going through the same...wishing the ten months would pass by quickly so we could be back home before we even knew it...and Patricia, who's in Singapore and can only come home once a year...

Gah.
